OBA Youth Team Tryouts Registration Now Open
The OBA Youth Team try-outs registration is now open.  The try-outs are open to all players born 2007 and younger (15U, 16U and 17U).  There is an initial ID camp on the weekend of April 19 and April 26.  Players can choose which ID camp they attend as they register for the ID camp. After the ID camps, we then select the top 50-60 players to attend a final Selection Camp the long weekend in May.

The OBA Youth Team competes in the Canada Cup:

Each province sends the top players from their province to compete for the Canada Cup.  It is the premiere high school age competition in Canada.  In years where the Canada Summer Games are being held, then  the Youth Team competes in the Canada Summer Games.  The next Summer Games is in 2025 in Newfoundland.

The Canada Cup this year is in Fort McMurray, AB.

Trying out for the OBA Youth Team is an excellent barometer for your players.  They will get a chance to compete against the best players in the province.  We also encourage 15U players to attend.  While it is exceptional for a 15U player to make the team, the player gets to see what work they have in front of them over the next two years to make the roster.
